Mixed feelings. I’ve dined at the Terrace 3x the past 4 weeks and I’m confused to why I may still go back. My reviews are usually prompted by poor service and this is no longer exception. My last two visits had less than great service, but my most recent visit takes the cake. After being sitted, then ignored for a while, our drink order was taken, my server poured my beer into a glass (had no idea what she was doing) and with the foam running over the top of the glass, she then tried to leave with the unemptied bottle. Entrees were great, but the vegetables were cold. Had to ask for salt. All in all, the food is good, portions are fine, but just too slack on service. My money may be better spent elsewhere and probably not missed by the restaurant as they have a strong following of regulars (maybe those are the ones getting the better service).
We had dinner there tonight for our anniversary… Reservations at 7:45…served water… Given menus…then nothing for 20 minutes…our waiter was also seating people… Answering the phone..serving as bartender…glasses empty…no one in sight…finally received lukewarm food…ask for salt and pepper. Never came…had to get up and find the waiter/everything else person to ask for our check…..probably seen our last of the Terrace
Great local restaurant. The Terrace is less than a mile from our house, and we dine there often. It’s not easy to find – on the ground level of the Merrill Lynch building at the corner of Rodney Parham and Hinson Rd. Be sure to make a reservation because the dining room is small. Everything on the menu is good. Our particular favorite is the Frenchy Hummus appetizer. Service is consistently good, even when the restaurant is crowded. Ask for Tammy or Regina. Tammy has been there for years, and seems to be on duty every time we’re there.Nov ’14 update: The Terrace is the same restaurant as ever, but our favorite waitress (Tammy) left to open up a new restaurant coming in Jan ’15.
Delicious food, quiet atmosphere, and fantastic service! I highly recommend The Terrace.
Cannot recommend it. My wife & I had early dinner Sat 10/19. The hummis appetizer was awesome. Between that & all the excellent online reviews, I had very high expectations. But it was not to be. We both ordered standard entrees off the menu. Sorry to report both were VERY BAD meals. This ain’t my first rodeo, I know a good meal when I experience it. We will not be returning.
Best food in little rock hands down. It is our go to spot every birthday, holiday, anniversary, etc. still feel like its the city’s best kept secret! You won’t regret going everything on the menu is spectacular!!
Great dining experience!. Great food, elegant atmosphere, friendly professional service…can’t wait to go back! Excellent wine list and unique entree selections…super fresh and fun!!
