Good hometown cafe. Vegetarians, try the sides plate (not on the menu, so ask) or the Shaner sandwich with no meat. The Shaner is grilled, the menu doesnt say so, which makes it delicious. Everything was delicious actually. Best fried pickles ever. Great corn nuggets, fried squash and okra, and fries. We visit whenever were in town. I read reviews that mention poor service but ours has always been friendly and top-notch, fast turnaround, and attentive. Id give 5 stars if there was even one dish on the menu appropriate for vegetarians!
What a great little diner! This was my first visit and I enjoyed myself. I had the hamburger steak plate, and while the mashed potatoes were a little under seasoned and nothing to write home about, the green beans were perfectly cook (not too salty – a little bit of bacon) and the hamburger steak itself is one of the best I have had in a while. The meat itself was not too overly seasoned, the gravy wasn’t too thick, and the onions were grilled to the right consistency. My water was served in a tall glass with the little cubes of ice that everyone loves, and my daughter loved her chicken and fries. The chicken was white meat and the fries were extra crispy – in the good way and not the over-cooked way. My friend got the fried mushrooms, and while they are not hand breaded (I think) they were not dry and the mushrooms were still juicy. The ice cream looked amazing but we were too full to try it. Next time!And our waitress was great! The inside decor is pretty bland, but this is a diner so it fit the bill perfectly.

Not worth the money. Went there today. Food was good, not something I’d write home about, server was bad, very inattentive. Did not check with us until we were done. Never refilled drinks. Two dinners, appetizer and two desserts was $34. I could have gone to Outback or some other nice steakhouse for that price. Based on poor service, way too much money for what we got, we will not be back, and we are local.
Had the worst dinner there last night order wrong, took forever! Will not be going back!
A Great Dining Experience. I recently ate at the Blue Diamond Cafe with several co-workers. We were all very pleased with our food. More importantly, the service was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive and seemed genuinely concerned with providing us a quality dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Conway County area.
Good, casual dining… Friendly, small town place with retro decor. Burgers, dogs, and specialty sandwiches, with lots of ice cream deserts. Also, a lunch special. The waitress put extra chocolate in my nephew’s malt. Nice, friendly down home service with pretty girls. Last time I was there, got a footlong with the works, with onion rings. Prices are reasonable and would definitely go there again.
