Been here a few times since opening. In a great location and a beautiful restaurant inside with a beautiful bar area. We were seated quickly and waiter arrived and asked for our order as we were sitting. The menu is about 20 pages and takes a good bit of time to review. We started with the calamari and it was good. We then had a Santa Fe salad and a fancy grilled cheese and both were ok. Service was way over attentive, when previous visits they couldn’t be found. The salad, sandwich, calamari and water was $55 with tip. Way too expensive for the food quality and service levels.

Anyway, we spoke with the manager and managed to get seated within 15 minutes instead. I wish that was the only problem we had. A waitress was great but, she had to come back several times to tell us they had run out of things we had ordered. Diet Dr. Pepper and beer on tap? Food came out at oddly spaced intervals and had to be sent back because it was cold. I thought the food was ok, but, not sure I would go through that again for what we ended up paying. Their shoe string french fries were good? I understand you have to work the kinks out but, this seemed to be a theme. Give it some time and let them figure it out, my advice.***this was about BJ’s – a new restaurant at the time, not the market cafe. There was no entry for them at the. Sorry for the error!
What has happened. One of the best things i have ever had was the chicken and dressing and some days the fried pork chops…… today 4/29/14 i went to the nlr loc. for the dressing for the third time it was almost the worst thing i have ever had.. this time it was so salty i could not force it down… the last time it was not done it was like liquid cornbread. the time before that it was like it was from the day before and reheated… that lady has worked so hard to have a nice place but it someone does not say something we may lose another great place to eat here in nlr… aka cuz roy fishers. this is the first time i have ever wrote a thing but just want this to get to the right person….. i still will not give up on the place we have to do our part to keep nlr open….. thanks
