Went to this restaurant to try something new. The service was not very good. The waitress asked us one time of she could get us anything and we never saw her again. Not only that,I had a meal with shrimp in it and after only a few bites I felt very sick to my stomach. The next day I ended up with FOOD POISONING!DO NOT EAT HERE! They gave me horrible food poisoning and even though the restaurant looked clean the meal was probably prepared wrong.
Love it. I’m glad I didn’t read the other reviews before I went here to eat. I can’t imagine why the rating is so far down the list. Cactus Jack’s is spotlessly clean. The service is spot on, friendly and fast. Prices and portions are very decent. One of few restaurants I’ve been to that show very little room for improvement. I had (what else?) beef and chicken fajitas and my wife had shrimp fajitas. Both meals were as good as fajitas will ever get. These are the dinners I have when I dream about fajitas at night. I’m giving them a five only because I can’t give a ten.
Went there last Sunday. Was sat immediately and was greeted with authentic chips and salsa before we opened the menu. Our server Ivan was very friendly and knowledgable about the drink special. Happy is is from 4-7 everyday. We were lucky enough to see a live Mariachi. The food was delicious and the Bahama Mamas were great. The only thing I was not fond of was how the staff cleaning tables were always eyeballing my daughter. I felt uncomfortable letting her go to the bathroom alone. Other than that I was very pleased and will be coming back.
AWESOME! We were looking for a Mexican restaurant and couldn’t find it and Cactus Jacks was in a good spot so we stuck with it because we were starving. Our waiter was GREAT! My husband ordered a Budweiser and was given a Bud Light but it was quickly corrected. Our food was great, cheese dip was TO DIE FOR. The customers behind us were rude to the waiter but he did NOT take that out on us he was exceptionally nice. We will be back next time we are in NRL.

Speedy lunch service. We went to Cactus Jack’s on a Friday lunch break. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and we were in and out of there in about 40 minutes total. We spent about $15.00 for a lunch for two. Not bad.As far as the food goes, it seems to be typical chain restaurant Mexican food. Not very spicy, actually a little bland. Everything we had seemed to be fresh, and the environment was nice. There was a lot of space and it seemed to be fairly clean.One stall out of order in the ladies room, and it smelled VERY strongly of Fabuloso or some similar product, but at least it was clean.Overall satisfied, and we will probably go there again.
This was an enjoyable dinner — good food and friendly attentive service.
