Came in to grab something to eat. Host sat me down immediately as it wasn’t busy. Sat and waited about 15 minutes to get acknowledged and nothing. someone that worked there passed by me a few times yet couldn’t stop and ask me if I have been helped yet. Saw servers next to the checkout box just chatting away. I usually give it about 15 minutes before I get up and walk out, especially if it’s not busy. Used to come here quite often and the quality of the food and especially the service has decreased
This place is gross I can’t believe people like it here I took my whole family here for dinner and everything was gross and took forever my son’s salad took 30 minutes to remake after they sent the wrong one the whole restaurant displays filth just look at the floors I will never be back
Old Chicago is a chain restaurant, but you will find a locally owned atmosphere when you step inside. From the greeting to the check you will be taken care of, and very well. This is a place that I have tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappoints. Personal favorites include the famous Double-Deckerroni(two layer pepperoni) pizza, the Thai Pie, Buffalo Chicken Rolls/Pepperoni Rolls, and the Whiskey Bacon burger with a side of Jerk Fries w/ Bleu Cheese. And with 100+ beers on hand you will never go thirsty. Sit at the bar, J-Rock is as good a bartender as youll find anywhere!
Quiet dining room and patio for weekday lunch. I usually order the unlimited soup and salad. Nothing awesome but, reliably good. Pizza, calzones, and burgers are better but, not as light. Dinner hours it can be noisier but, it’s usually still at a volume you can converse with friends. Great local and regional beer selections. Chicago Pizza is good bar food and pizza – give them a try.
First visit to Old Chicago. Went for lunch, had the best service. Allie was our server. She was attentive and friendly. My boyfriend had the the lunch portion calzone and Caesar salad. Both very good. I had the apple/pear walnut salad. Delicious. We will definitely be back.
