A breakfast and lunch chain trying hard to not feel like a chain but missing the mark on many fronts. The in thing for breakfast joints is that local farm to table, fresh squeezed, chef inspired, trendy ingredient in a polished non-diner environment. The Egg and I misses on several points but isnt bad just too much chain to pull it off. The atmosphere and service were good, the prices would be in-line if the quality was a bit better. While I did prefer them over Dennys or IHOP they really dont compare to The Buttered Biscuit, Pressroom or The Hive.
