There’s no sign announcing the name of this restaurant on the side of Highway 70, but that hasn’t kept generations of hungry folks from dropping in. The only steady eatery between Benton and Hot Springs offers the standard burger, fries and beverages as you’d expect from a drive-in. Expect a wait during lunch. tiedyetravels.com
Not a fast food place. This is on a highway, and if you aren’t looking for it, you could miss it. It has an outdoor window that you can order from, but it’s not a drive through. There is inside seating, but only a few tables. The food is good, but the portions are small and it is expensive. We got there when 2 tables were occupied, but as we stood at the counter to order, we had to wait a bit as only one guy was trying to operate the outside window and the order counter… no real biggie though. After placing our order, we sat at a little booth against the wall. About 10 minutes later, we got our two chocolate malts, I ordered a large and my wife ordered a small. Then another 10 minutes or so, we got the rest of our order. My wife and I both ordered a bacon cheeseburger and split an order of fries. The food was good, but the burgers were small. The fries would amount to a medium size order at a fast food place. The burgers, one fry, and 2 malts totaled just over $22… a bit high to me. However, we could tell they do have several repeat customers as we were aware of the people working in the place acknowledging several who came in after us, so they do have a following. My wife and I drove specifically to this place to try it out, a distance of about 22 miles. Even though it’s a bit high, we will probably try them again as the food was prepared well and the taste is definitely above the regular fast food places. Jan 26, 2015
Best cheeseburger I’ve had in a long time!!
Great food made with fresh ingredients. I had the cheese burger with onion rings and it was way better than any fast food chain. If you’re driving to Hot Springs, you must stop here!
The service here is slow, and that’s a good thing — everything is cooked fresh to order. Lots of people stop here for the shakes, but the burgers and fries are as good as you can get anywhere in central Arkansas.
