This breaks my heart to say that our long family tradition, going to A&Q chicken, was so disappointing today. It is absolutely not what it used to be. The grease tasted old, the food was cold, the potions were much smaller. The service, however, was fine. Doubt that Ill go back sniff sniff.
This used to be my favorite place in Northwest Arkansas to eat. I’m not really sure what has happened but it’s changed. The seasoning seems to gone, and there’s so much grease. Even the rolls were disappointing the last two times. The decor is outdated but that would be okay because it’s practically a landmark. Almost as sad as the food, the sweet older ladies that used to greet and serve are all gone. The couple of younger women who waited on us both times were unsmiling, too busy to do more than quickly take the order and neither time came back to check on us through the meal. Between the food, waitstaff and feel of the place being a bit grungy, we probably won’t be going back anymore. It feels very sad. I’ve been going there as long as I can remember.

Excellent. I ate there for the first time yesterday and the food was great! I typically don’t order pickles but the fried pickles were awesome. The breading they use on the chicken is delicious.
Won’t be going back…. We gave AQ another try and my ribs were not hot, they tasted like leftover ribs that were reheated.
This was the best home style food I’ve ever had. The chicken was delicious, spaghetti was decent, and the fried peaches were to die for!
Excellent chicken. Until now we thought Strouds pan fried chicken was the best, but this is amazingly better. Also, try the deep fried peaches. So good.
