Tried the pizza a few years back, when it first opened, and one was really good, while the other was bleh. Have been back several times to drink and hang out on the patio, which was really nice. I’ve heard that they’ve changed the menu and recipes quite a bit, and the pizza is much better, now, and they have gluten-free pizza, now, too. Haven’t tried it, but it looks good.

We had a great meal here the other night. I was impressed with their extensive drink list as well. We had the margarita pizza and the pizza with an egg on it (can’t recall the name) both were great!

Our family loves pizza night. We decided to try MJ Pizzeria last night, and were a bit underwhelmed. We ordered a large meatball pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza essentially was bread and cheese with 7 sliced meatballs on top. There was practically no sauce whatsoever. I had tried to peel the cheese back to see, and it was literally stuck to the bread. The spaghetti and meatballs wasn’t as bad, but was almost 16 dollars! If it wasn’t a small portion and box noodles, we may not have minded as much. For 30+ dollars we expected a much better experience, so we will likely not be returning. Especially with so many places locally that have homemade noodles and sauces, and at half the price.

Wonderful food and great staff. We sat at the bar and watched our food being made. The chefs were a good time to watch. We had a Caesar salad and a large spicy chicken pizza. The portions were huge and were priced very well. We will definitely be back. I’d recommend MJ’s to anyone.

I’ve been curious about this place since it opened, finally a friend and I decided to try it out. I haven’t been to many pizzerias but this one has a great atmosphere and service! Our server was courteous and prompt, and it was an enjoyable place to relax and enjoy. The pizza was excellent, and the crust had just the right amount of hardness and wood-cooked flavor. I didn’t have the chance to try any of their brews, but I intend on coming back and doing so. It isn’t exactly cheap, but then you get what you pay for. Overall I got a very good first impression and will be coming back.

Went to MJ’s tonight. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. I really enjoyed seeing the pizza cooking next to actual burning wood. It was neat all around to see the cooks making the food, and the bar setup was amazing. I love the non-traditional beers on tap along with some local faves. Restaurant was pretty busy, but the service was good. Our server was very sweet. I loved the big Mediterranean salad, but it was definitely different with potatoes, artichoke hearts, and a cooked egg. (However, we did not get the egg. The cook overcooked it.) My only semi-complaint was that our pizza was a tad undercooked. The cheese wasn’t completely melted, and the pizza was just warm, not hot. However, I could see how hard the pizza cook was working. He actually burned his face stoking and adding more wood to the fire. Props to him! I would definitely go back. Overall, I think it is a solid place.

If you enjoy great service, a friendly atmosphere, and being fed then do not bother with MJ’S Pizzeria. 20 minutes after being seated on a slow day with 0 attention from any waiter in the area, we decided to see just how long we would go unnoticed. Apparently we were invisible the entire time as we were never acknowledged. So, we promptly left and went to a dependable pizzeria where the beer is always cold and the service is consistently good.
