It’s been so long since eating Indian food out was a possibility for me. Now, lots of Indian restaurants have popped up in the area. R&R is tasty, albeit quite expensive. Don’t come here expecting to get out for less than $30 if you’re with a spouse or friend. The food is worth it, however. My first time here I was mesmerized by the Bollywood music videos playing on the prominent televisions. Next I noticed they keep a camera on their tandoor! You can watch how naan is made and get some idea when your order might be ready. I’m happy to have a place to get vindaloo and butter chicken I don’t have to make myself. Their samosas are to die for and on one occasion when our food was taking forever to get out, they brought us a free appetizer to make the wait less problematic. I enjoy the service and the kindness. I just wish the price was a little lower. If it were I’d eat here all the time! But as an occasional treat, R&R can’t be beat.
The Springdale spin-off of this Fort Smith curry house is just as good, with northern Indian influences and extraordinarily large samosas. Try the chai. tiedyetravels.com
Great Indian place in NWA. The one in Fort Smith is better, but Springdale (and NWA) is lucky to have them in town. R&R has a wide variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes. The # 14 Norther India Curry is good, as well as the #24 Chole (Cooke Chickpeas in a vary of spices w/ rice and naan bread). The vegetable pakora is also worth a try. Once again, I didn’t think this R&R is as tasty as the one in Fort Smith, but it’s the best Indian food I’ve had in NWA. Looking forward to trying their vegetarian potato dish, as well as the vindaloo. If you’re in the area and craving some curry, R&R is worth a stop!
We really enjoyed this restaurant and are happy to have an Indian restaurant in this area. We’ve ordered the butter chicken both times we’ve visited. The dish and the naan were very tasty and the servings were generous. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. (The sauce to chicken ratio was fine – Indian dishes like this should havelots of sauce to soak up with your bread!)
Wonderful Indian restaurant and so glad there is one closer to Fayetteville. Went with the whole family and everyone had a favorite from the Butter Chicken to the Bengan Bhartha. Service was friendly and food was fast. Highly recommended dine in or take out!
First visit to R & R’s Curry Express. My first time to try this place. Used a coupon purchased on dealpiggy.com. I ordered dinner to go…ordering the mix appetizer planner and mango chicken curry (mild). Loved the curry, rice, naan and my fav appetizer was the veg samosa. Would devinitely go back.
