I am 100% disappointed in this restaurant. Our waitress could not remember our drink order, for 2 people. While asking about a specific menu item, our waitress asked us what it came with. They allowed a table of loud and disruptive customers to continue to be obnoxious. It was bad enough that I wanted to walk out. Unfortunately we just got our food. Maybe I was there on a bad day, but I won’t go back. The good thing, their loaded hash browns are good.
Sad in Springdale. Well we used to frequent Sunset for breakfast and Friday night all you can eat catfish… but with new ownership came unwanted changes. Sunset has always been a favorite of ours but three bad experiences means its time to move on. We tried breakfast three times and every time the food has been cold, hashbrowns VERY undercooked, gravy bland and tasteless. The last straw was tonight for catfish and baked potatoes, our only order option was three piece. Well that was fine but they were tiny! Like fish nuggets and the potato wasn’t cooked all the way, GROSS. So long story short… What happened to you Sunset?
Homestyle food and cooking. Real food. This place boasted with big flavor, great service (from wait staff and cook staff), cheap prices, and hefty amount of food. Home fries are wonderful, with grilled peppers etc. And tender deliciousness with the potatoes! Corned beef hash is home fries potatoes, no peppers, tender and flavorful corned beef (perfect amount of pickling, not over powering) and it was real beef, not canned. Includes two poached eggs, bit I did not have those included. The omelets are big, stuffed with real items and packed with tons of flavor! Breakfast burrito is huge, and very good! The pancakes are ginormous and super pleasing. It took 15 minutes to get our food but it as worth it, and not bad timing. The prices will make you double, triple check your receipt to makesure that everything was put on the bill… Because the prices are just that awesome! Compared to the biggest competitor in Springdale… The quality, amount, and prices of food is superior by far! Definitely a place to go back to. The environment is home ish. It has a very open layout, a beautiful muralon the back wall, and it is maintained well.
We try to make it to the Sunset Grill about once every month or two for breakfast. I’ve never had a bad experience other than having to leave because there was a long wait for a table. That means that the word is out on how great it is there. FYI – the eggs Benedict is my favorite!!
Almost everything about this place is underwhelming. The food is average to poor. The atmosphere is nonexistent. The service was average to poor.
Great food every time !! The new spinach omelet is delish!!
The best breakfast in town!. I love the Sunset Eastern omelet. It’s gigantic and I can never finish it, but I share with my kids while they devour their Mickey Mouse pancakes. The waitresses here are wonderful….my coffee and water are refilled before they are a quarter gone each time. Just delicious. Every single time.
