Very good local cafe. Good food. Excellent service. Lots of locals. The kind of place I like to find as a traveler. I tried the daily special. It was a good choice. I’d be happy to eat here again.
Great breakfast! Super friendly folks and their pancakes are ridiculous! Lunches are pretty good nothing super amazing, but indeed tasty! Owners are really friendly and this is a Springdale stapleyou have got to go!
I think there breakfast is very good, but we have never cared for any lunches we’ve had there. They seem to lack in flavor and quality. We had the issue of them refusing to serve us when we brought in a slim Jim for our toddler daughter. She wasn’t hungry and we were so we let her bring in a snack, and they stated it was against their no outside food or drinks brought in. We politely left and have never been back.
Have you ever had a chili omelet? This epicurean delight (or gastronomical impending tragedy for your lower GI track) is a proud star on Susan’s menu, and deserves its own special accolades. The appropriate accompaniment of biscuits and cream gravy may the the point where your belt buckle gives up and allows itself to be forcefully propelled outward, so make sure you’re seated firmly at the table for the entire performance. tiedyetravels.com
I’ve eaten here for many years but not the last few. So disappointed. I recall breakfast is good. But we went at 11:30 on a Saturday and ordered lunch. my hot roast beef sandwich was so bland it was like eating paste, white tasteless bread, instant potatoes, tasteless gravy with some beef. Order breakfast or a burger….
This is the best breakfast and lunch place in Springdale and by far the best Chicken Fried Steak in NWA. Neal’s might be an institution, but their food doesn’t hold a candle to what Susan’s puts in front of you. I have to admit that I am a native and I haven’t frequented this place enough over the years, but I recently rediscovered it and it is one of my favorite places to go on the weekends for breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable, the waitstaff is attentive and friendly and the food is plentiful, fresh and yummy. If you are in a hurry, probably not where you want to go, but I encourage you to wait and give this place a try. Chances are, you will see someone know waiting with you and you will have to time catch up on news before you are seated.
Memorial Day Lunch/Breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed eating lunch/breakfast here today. We had not visited in a few years, and it was a great experience. I had liver & onions, okra, cabbage, and beans. He had breakfast.
