As you enter this old time country themed cafe you can tell there are regulars that are here day in day out probably for decades, a good sign usually for a great breakfast. In this case it was a very good sign. You’d think it hard to mess up breakfast but I’ve seen it done frequently. Wagon Wheel nails some breakfast staples. The biscuits and gravy are terrific. Light fluffy biscuits topped with a rich, thick white gravy with good sausage flavor. The Western Omelette was very tasty and large. The bacon was perfectly cooked, crisp but not burnt, and good quality. The French toast wasn’t remarkable but good. Even the coffee was decent and I’m a coffee snob (see my Onyx review) We experienced none of the service issues of other reviews. The food arrived in a timely manner, the server friendly and attentive. Take out the one review reviews both good and bad and you might get a better picture of the place. I can’t speak to lunch or dinner but for breakfast you could do worse.
