Let me start off by saying that I intended to give it 2 stars but one of my dining companions had a positive experience and thought it was too harsh. 2 1/2 stars would be more accurate but I am nothing if not agreeable. I have dined twice at the Conway locations, and while not a fan, I appreciate the mission of free meals (although not a fan of the lack of margaritas). Today, on our way home from going to Bryant to get truffles at Cocoa Belle (yes!! Worth the drive!!), we stopped in this location for a quick bite to eat. It was noisy and difficult for our cashier to understand us. She tried to sell us on the trio of dips when all we really wanted was 2. We didnt receive a number and I had to return to the counter to tell her. She didnt have a corresponding number for our order so I pointed out our booth and was seated. When the food came we only received one set of cutlery. (I will leave out the frustrating story that followed). My dining companion, the Unknown Critic, had the Cobb salad. His assessment Cobb Salad:Lettuce from bagCorn from canBeans from canPico from packageNasty dressing( I personally thought the dressing was okay)My other companion, my daughter, had the Maui Maui taco that she loved. I must admit it was far better than my own. The carnitas was all meat, a few strands of cabbage and that nasty powdery cheese thats supposed to be Mexican cotija (Yeah, thats cotija like the Kraft crap in the can is Parmesan.) the refried black beans were inedible and they poured that powdered cheese on top. Perhaps it was a very bad day at this location. Other reviewers may have a completely different experience. On a positive note, they let me have a free refill on my Paradise punch ( which one would hope for a $2.99 drink). I am home sipping it now with my adorable mustache straw. (Such a cute marketing gimmick).

Wow wish I had not entered the front door. But at 1:20 there’re 8 cars in the drive thru. So I decided to park and go in. Wow. 5 girls behind the counter talking to two girlfriends that are ordering something? Hard to tell. No one taking an order as they visit so I had a chance to watch and observe the kitchen. Never will I ever in my life eat here. Not that I had a chance bc after 3-4 minutes of standing there waiting to order( only one register open) and they are looking at me but no acknowledgement. Too busy for visiting for a customer. Good bc I’m not eating here. Kitchen is a disaster. Now the one on Oak Street Conway. Completely different experience. Completely different management and employees and it’s VERY VERY obvious the minute you step into the Shackleford location. Just drive to Conway.
