Quaint. This is my go-to cafe in Alameda.Julie’s is a nice little spot with an earthy ambiance and shabby chic decor. The walls are covered with artwork and they have a nice selection of gift items. They also have a roomy patio area in the back if you’re looking for a spot outside to hang.Their menu is not extensive, but everything I’ve had there is good. The grilled cheese is crispy crispy crispy made with thickly sliced crusty french bread and organic cheddar and keeps me coming back as does their Mexican Mocha – spicy and choc-luh-tee. Seems like most of their stuff is organic and they have stuff for vegans and gluten avoiders. Don’t expect a fast turnaround on your order. I’ve often had to wait five+ minutes for just a coffee order.
