Good, down home Mexican food.
Haphazard Service.. Convenient location close to onramp to the 710 freeway final exit. Free parking lot. Large, comfortable dining room, simply but pleasantly decorated.But the service can be sloppy. I often have to get up and get my own silverware. The food is only passable. I like the steak picado, but the Spanish rice looks like it’s been sitting a few hours. Definitely not made fresh to order. No substitutions accepted. The beef isn’t top quality, that’s why I always order steak picado because the beef is tenderized by the way it’s cooked with fresh tomato, bell pepper and onions. The rib eye and porterhouse steaks, steak ranchero and carne asada by comparison are chewy. Tomato slices served as a garnish are unripe, and unappealing.
