Lunasia was impressing from the outside to the inside. It looked classy and clean. The servers are attentive. They don’t have a huge selection but the quality is good however, a bit oily for some. Generous portions too. I also like that they give high quality tea and a glass of ice on the side!
Ok I just finished dim sum lunch. The food is great and the pricing very fair. Bar BQ pork buns are some of the best I have ever eaten! Shui Mai is also done in a style that I was not familiar with but were delicious. Hong Kong roast duck was excellent with the skin very crispy and flavorful. This is a must try for Dim Sum lunch when you are in Alhambra! If you are non Chinese, I would reccomend patience, since they are not alot of people on the staff who speak English?

What were they thinking when they changed their menu?. Couple months ago we began going to Lunasia for its dum sum. Food was quite good, and there were many innovative dishes. I even put on my Facebook page rating this restaurant as one of the best dim sum restaurant in LA.Well, we went there today, and they have revamped their menu completely. Many of their innovative dim sum dishes, including our favorite Deep Fried Green Tea Cake, were removed. In their place, instead of replacing them with other innovative dim sum dishes, Lunasia replaced it with more pricy large dishes.Now, with its innovative and special dim sum dishes gone, this restaurant is just a regular dim sum restaurant. Food is still good, but so are several other dim sum restaurants in LA. So, if you are not within few miles (I would say 2-3 miles), don’t bother with the effort to go there.
Not bad at all. I was here for dim-sum lunch on a crowded Sunday with a big group of 12 family members. Often times, dishes at dim-sum restaurants are very greasy. Not here, though. Food isn’t drenched in sauce or oily, a rare find at Chinese restaurants. Dishes are brought out very hot temperatures which is key to most Chinese dishes. In addition to the dim-sum dishes, we ordered an egg-white fried rice and a curry noddle, both of which were very good.
Impressive Dim Sum. Lunasia took over Triumphal Palace only a few weeks ago, and it seems the business has improved. I went there two times, once for Dim-Sum lunch and the other time for dinner. Nice and comfortable ambiance, which is very difficult to find among Chinese restuarants in San Gabriel Valley. A Big Plus!!! I was really impressed with their dim-sum lunch, many selections and good quality. They were served at perfect temperature and tasted very good. Lunasia charges more than others, but it’s worth for your money.Well, lets talk about dinner. I went there on Christmas Day and it was packed. Some dishes were fine, but some were just average. There’re room for improvement, no doubt about it.
