Old Country Cafe – Alhambra, CA. This is still one of my favorite places to eat. I’ve been coming here since their seats were literally individual college classroom desks!Fast, simple cheap…Taiwanese. BAM! Awesomeness! I swear by their Pudding Green Milk Tea! My favorite eats are:-Squid stew with rice noodle-Intestine Rice Noodle Soup-Minced port rice-Pork chop rice-meatball-pork blood cake-oily tofu (not stinky tofu….it’s not stinky enough here for me)The environment is so chill. You can come in on your quick lunch break at the booth and have lunch (or dinner) for one and not feel like everyone’s watching you. There’s also a room with seats in the back with a bunch of asian comics and no T.V. (the T.V. is in the front area). People with children and the elderly like sitting there because the seats are normal height (front area are all pretty high seats).I LOVE THIS PLACE…can’t stress that enough!
