Memorable bento box. I was in Bakersfield last spring for work and happened upon this place for lunch one day. I am back again almost a full year later and all I can think about is making sure that I get another one!! Very few places have food that memorable. I can’t recall the exact bento box I got, but I remember everything about it was great – the main dish, the salad, the tempura veggies – YUM! I will definitely be hitting this place up each time I come to Bakersfield.
VERY Good and Won’t Break the Bank. This place is great…small but lovely. Always busy. Service and presentation is always spot on. Funny, someone commented that the salad was served with italian dressing…sorry that’s not italian…it looks like it but taste nothing like it. So yummy. Try it, you’ll be happy you did.

Excellent Sushi Chef. Bento Express is a great sushi spot with a first-rate young chef who really knows how to cut fish. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.Favorite dishes are the sashimi salad and the baked mussels.
Good if you work downtown.. I’ve been in there a couple times. The sushi is good and the prices are decent. the only problem i had was with the salad. It was served with italian dressing? weird.
