Good food and good portion size with quality ingredients, but I think the price is too high. I will go back for sure, but I think they could afford to lower prices just a little bit, especially since they use newspaper menus.
We had breakfast for lunch and the ham steak and English muffin tasted burned as if the grill had not been cleaned. Also, had the huevos ranchero. definitely too much grilled pork and muffin had burnt grill taste. Have had breakfast before and enjoyed it, but breakfast for lunch was a different experience.
Disappointed. My third visit to black bear was a disaster. I so wanted my guests to enjoy it like I did ,once in Bakersfield and once in Vegas. we went to the one in Bakersfield and ordered two Reuben sandwiches….never again. the corned beef was so tough and overly salted, the rye bread was not the real rye, it said with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut ….I suppose it was there, but I couldn’t find it. You sure made a liar of me. Just take Reuben sandwiches off your menu…they are not the real thing. Vita.
