This place used to be so good and now disappointing food and employees…its not worth a drive let alone the price. My rice tasted burned.my side order of noodles seemed like they scrapped it off the floor. And the girls upfront were so rude! I wish it went back to good food and service like before
Expected Better. I had their lunch sashimi & sushi bento box. It came with 5 pieces of sashimi (3 tuna, 2 salmon) and 4 pieces of various nagiri sushi, salad, rice and miso soup. The miso soup contained 1 cube of tofu and no seaweed. The sashimi and sushi portions were small and the rice was more of a herb rice than sushi rice. For a $10.95 lunch bento box, I expected more and left still feeling hungry.
Meh. Clean restaurant and good service but, the food was standard. The sushi rolls are oversized, warm, and bland. The rolls are made from cookie cutter recipes and show no creativity from the sushi chef.
The Best Sushi in Bakersfield!. I eat as often as I can at Ichiban’s. The sushi chefs are incredible! the quail eggs are always fresh and the large boat of shashimi is to die for. When sea urchin is in season you must not miss it! Sometimes the waitresses lack professionalism, but the food more than makes up for it.
Basic and Expensive. I found it was very basically prepared. It is exceptable but for the price I’d go else where. kind of a chain Interpretation of sushi.

Great Place for Lunch. They serve wonderful lunches. The food is fresh tasting and very filling.
