Terrible!. Ordered a spicy tuna roll and eel roll for pick up. a little pricey for two rolls in my opinion- got home and spicy tuna was deep fried and eel covered in a sauce other than eel sauce. so awful i just threw it out. better chance at getting sushi anywhere but here.

Definatly the best sushi in town(IMHO)!! The service is so/so and if you order take out speak very clearly because chances are your order may be wrong if you don’t lol. But like the other reviews said, don’t go for fancy service, go for a saki and some of really excellent sushi!

Best sushi in Bakersfield. I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years and it has always been good. Even after having sushi in other bigger coastal cities this still ranks up there with the best IMO. I love their miso soup, salad , and edamame, which are free and served before even asking your order. I was sad when they got rid of the cherry tree decoration but they got more seating and a cleaner look. the sushi chefs have been the same for years and I know one was trained from the original owner. All the sushi is good. I had the Teppanyaki once for my birthday, it was delicious and everyone in the party liked it. The price is slightly cheaper than most other sushi places of this quality.
Great big rolls. Fresh and delicious ingredient like every other good sushi restaurant. Service is so/so but for the price, can’t beat Izumo in Bakersfield.
