Absolutely awesome home cooked meals. Plenty of food. You won’t go away hungry, that’s for sure. The service and waitress were outstanding. I had fried chicken, dressing with chicken and fried cabbage. To die for. A little out of the way for freeway traffic but well worth it. Oh yes, the peach cobbler. The best I have ever had. Better than mine. lol
Best chicken in town. Best chicken fried chicken in town. I go there for breakfast with my two friends. Every time we go it has been stellar service and stellar product. I really enjoy Susie as well. Her shining personality has made that business a success. I will definitely come back.
Great Restaurant. I have eaten there twice – lunch and breakfast. I really thought the first lunch experience was a fluke because it was so much better than any other restaurant I have visited in the area. The experience was amazing and the food was delicious. Servings were generous and prices were good. Today I went back for breakfast. This experience was easilyy superior to the first. I had smothered pork chops and my friend had chicken fried steak. What a spread! The food was cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly, and the gravy was obviously fresh as opposed to preprocessed as in most restaurants. I dine in restaurants at least twice each day of my life. I am very sensitive to personal attention, service, professionalism, and passion for the product. Food quality is secondary for me. All of these are through the roof there. There is an atmosphere there which is obviously caused by great leadership. Most restaurants today have employees who don’t care and are just there for the money. – generally the result of poor leadership. Not so here. Just entering the restaurant is noticeably different – very friendly, warm, and inviting. Great place. Hope they never change.
Incredible Food. Best fried chicken I have ever had. Great seasoning. The ribs are quite exceptional. Everything on the menu is just pure home cooking, comfort food. Large portions. Service is good for a busy restaurant. 5 stars.
Better the first time. Went to J’s for the second time the food wasn’t that great. My sisters fried chicken taste way better. I had the fried chicken, neck bone dressing, corn, and peach cobbler. The neck bone dressing was great I could taste the sage and there was lots of meat the texture was very creamy. I loved the peach cobbler as always the buttery crust , hit of nutmeg, and the sweetness. Fried chicken wing was perfect it was hot and had more flavor than the other pieces I had. The waiter told me I could have order the wing special but that was after all my troubles with the chicken.1. Chicken Breast was served cold and lacked flavor2. Chicken Thigh was burned I had to sent it back to but so the manager gave me a fresh chicken breast it was better. Also she agreed to give me a fresh cooked thigh I never got it. There was no communication between the waiter and the manager.3. My daughter order the sweet tea is was awful she drank my diet pepsi I notice they still charged me for it even though she did not drink it.4. We ordered red snapper on the side the waiter gave our order to someone else we had to wait for another order5. My daughter scrapped the chicken altogether switched for the snapper.6. The waiter was going to do a regular order of snapper instead of the fish but charged us an extra 1.50 any way.7. The tarter sauce tasted like mayonnaise with relish need to work on try using fresh dill or capers in your recipe.I went there for a mothers day lunch I did not have a good experience took the snapper to go when I got it home it was a soggy mess. I will not go back to eat there. I will order Peach Cobbler to go 🙂 I hope you read your reviews
This is my favorite place ever!! They have amazing food and great portions. Everything on the menu is awesome.
Awesome. Catfish is favorite. Like chicken and waffles but now that is has moves to Rosedale it’s a trip across town and I’m ordering catfish if I’m driving that far. The move did add catfish all week long.
