I love this place. If you love biscuits and gravy then this is the place to come. Better than grandmas cooking!
Wonderful. I went there last weekend and the service was great, the food was great and the price was great. It was my first time going there and the waitress was very polite and pactient. I loved it there and plan to go again soon. This was the one on Ming Ave.
Disappointed…. Had breakfast there this morning and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had.1. The table was sticky.2. The waitress took our order which included coffee. She never brought the coffee. I had to go get coffee from the hostess.3. We asked waitress for more napkins… finally got them after asking her 3 times.4. Food came via the waitress. That was it. Never saw her again. No coffee refills… nada.5. Side of bacon came and was SOGGY and limp. Sent it back via the hostess. It came back extremely greasy and near rancid. My guess is that they stuck it in the deep fryer for a minute. It was not edible.I have been going to Lorene’s since I was a kid and she was on 24th Street. One of my uncles was even a cook for her in the 60s. If Lorene knew what has happened to her establishment, she would be turning over in her grave!If you have coupons, shred them and go anywhere else. Do not waste your good money here.
Snooze Alert. You can’t blame a place like Lorene’s for making boring, bland, mushy food. Their patrons are all 80 year olds, and they have to make stuff they can handle. One exception: Their pies ain’t half bad.
