Been to Mama Roomba’s quite a few times. The food is always great, the atmosphere is good though the restaurant is small. Try to order the tri-tip or the fried chicken!
Great fun little spot down town. Menu is simple and the food is good. Also staff was friendly and fast which makes a big difference for me.
Great Caribbean Restaurant. My son and I were traveling to Oakland, CA when we discovered Mama Roomba in Bakersfield, CA. Great food, excellent service and terrific atmosphere! Our travels from Bakersfield to Oakland was made very enjoyable after that meal.

Over hyped and very nondescript food. After reading all the reviews I was really looking forward to eating here. The menu is very simple and straight forward. We ordered a couple tapas to start.The octopus, calamari and the sauteed mushroom. A great way to try a little of everything I love octopus and order it regularly, its not supposed to be fishy. Next we ordered the sauteed mussels, it was a previously frozen product and after adding a ton of hot sauce they had some flavor. We also split the tri tip streak med rare. It was a perfect MR and what ever rub they put on it was great. I cant say that I like the place and wont say I don’t like it. Ive had much better and Ive had much worse. This place didnt inspire me to hurry back any time soon.
Says its Cuban. Nothing on the menu was Cuban. Disappointed.
