Love the bacon!. I go to Molly J’s about twice a month, because I’m adicted to their bacon, which is the best I’ve had in Bakersfield. I always order Bacon & Eggs, and it’s a wonderful way to start a morning!
Good food and good prices. Almost every dish on the menu is good. I personally like their cheeseburgers. Two people can eat for about $20. Can’t beat that.
Bleh. It’s Ok. Nothing too great going on here. Service was not spectacular but not bad, food was kind of boring. I had a Californian roast beef, which is a roast beef sandwich on sourdough with and ortega chile. The beef by it’s self was good but with the sharp sourdough and chile, I could not taste it at all. I tried their biscuits and gravy because my wife got them with her order and I found the gravy to be tasteless and the biscuit was too bread like and not a flaky biscuit you would want, or at least I would want. They serve breakfast all day, which seemed to be good(except biscuit and gravy). The menu seems pretty limited though, I had a hard time finding what I wanted because nothing really struck me as sounding good, there are no descriptions on the menu.
My friend and I are at MJs every week and it’s the kind of place where it feels like home. Good food and good service.
