Great atmosphere; tucked away on Wall Street. Dark, intimate, relaxing. Small bar, about 8 stools. About six tables in the bar area up front dining area in the back. Primarily Mexican influenced food: tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Interesting decor; good food; personable waitstaff.

So good. This place is so good…haven’t had a plate I haven’t Loved! Their tequila lime shrimp is A-Mazing! (What i wouldn’t do for that recipe) Just a warning it gets busy on Friday and Saturday night, so don’t expect to show up and get right in. I don’t drink, but my friends have told me that the jalapeo margarita is a must try (I’m not sure if that’s the name…but I’d bet they’ll know what you’re talking about if you ask for it)

Great unique place to eat. Saturday evening we decided to try Muertos Kitchen and Lounge. Recently moved from San Diego where dining is never short on selection we have found it a little disappointing here in Bakersfield. Muertos is a unique restaurant with wonderful appetizers (Halibut Salsa and Beer Battered Mushrooms) and a white wine sangria that is as delicious as it is appealing to the eye. We were very please with Muertos and will definitely be returning to try other dishes that we noticed being served.
