Bad service. I have eaten at this Olive Garden a few times…Usually in the bar. The soup is always hot and good. Tonight I had dinner in the main dinning room. A lady waited on me who should not be waiting tables. She is so forgetful and disorganized I don’t know how she finds her way to work.
Blah food. Usually long wait to get in. Received a gift card and ordered meal $$$ enough so we wouldn’t have to go back. Soup and salad are good. Never get same thing twice as menu changes all the time. Stupid change restaurant.
Not enough in town. The Olive Garden consistently offers up great food, and excellent service. BUT, every time we try to go, if it is after five, almost any day of the week, you can count on the wait being at least an hour….sometimes two. Well, there are a couple of other Italian restaurants in town that are just as good, or I can cook up a great meal at home in the same time. There is no way I am waiting two hours for a chain restaurant. Once again, the restaurants are ignoring all the people with money on the North side with money. They should step up, build restaurants, and watch people come out of the woodwork!
On the Top Ten List? Really now people…. While Olive Garden is fine for a chain of Americanized Italian restaurants, I can’t believe this restaurant is ranked #9 on the Top Ten List of the very best restaurants in Bakersfield. The only thing worse was to see In ‘n’ Out Burger listed as the NUMBER TWO restaurant in Bakersfield. Are you kidding me? Who is casting these votes? And can we please start a campaign to change these embarassing picks? Outsiders already think Bakersfield is full of people who have Billy Bob teeth and ain’t got much larn’in past the 2nd grade. Of course, we know better. Bakersfield has a lot to offer, but this list doesn’t reflect that.There are so many more Italian family-owned genuine Italian restaurants in Bakersfield that could have taken this spot on the top ten list. Do we really think Olive Garden serves better Italian food than Mama Tosca or Sorella? Perhaps we all need to re-think the purpose of this list. It isn’t about the top ten restaurants we go to for a quick bite. This list is supposed to be about restaurants that offer the finest cuisine in the best atmosphere with the best service to be found in Bakersfield.Imagine a friend of yours visits from New York and wants to know where the finest dining in Bakersfield can be found. Are you going to tell them to try the #2 ranked In ‘n’ Out Burger drive thru or the #9 ranked Olive Garden? Really now people…
One of the top ten restaurants in bakersfield?. Look, Olive Garden is fine but it no way deserves to be in the top best rated resaurants in bakersfield. It’s been a while since I’ve even attempted to go to the one we have here because there is no way im waiting over an hour for mediocre italian food. what is with this city and chains? applebee’s, chili’s, red lobster, and olive garden are like the most popular restaurants in bakersfield. you could wait over an hour to eat at any of them when better tasting locally owned non chain restaurants are available for you to walk right in to be seated…
ZITI!!!!! Probably the best dish they serve. If you do decide to try this dish after reading this review, please note, THIS PASTA IS VERY VERY VERY ADDICTIVE. Please experience other dishes before the 5 Cheese Ziti. Otherwise your tastebuds will crave it until you meet again… I wish I was joking.
Absolutely our favorite restaurant in Bakersfield. We always get excellent service and tasty food. Our fav menu items are the soups, salad, breadsticks, fonduta and gelato. Diane makes a great Mai Tai.
