  Can’t Live Without It!. Every day I go by Starbucks for a Venti Green Tea Latte, whole milk, light, light ice, extra macha, swished- not shaken or stirred! I use my Starbucks Gold Card each time so I receive a free drink every fifteen I buy. Just load one of the Starbucks cards, then register it (or as many as you have) at Starbucks.com and you then get a free drink on your birthday, free shots and upgrades, free in-store refills on coffee, and for every fifteen drinks, a card in the mail good for a free drink. How awesome is that?And right now, Starbucks here in Bakersfield has a promo going called Treat Receipts. If you buy a drink before 2pm, you can use the receipt after 2pm to get a $2 grande cold drink, any type. How cool is that?I go to Starbucks all over the city, but my absolute favorite is the one on Mt. Vernon and Mall View Rd. (Hwy 178) over in the northeast. They consistently get my order correct (unlike the one on the corner of California and Chester, who have yet to get my drink right!) and they never seemed rushed or grumpy. The Starbucks in Valley Plaza Mall is always super busy but they manage somehow to make you feel special and not rushed and even remember my drink with all it’s persnickety make-up. I no longer stop at the one on White Lane near the 99 because twice they got my drink wrong- the first time shaking my drink and making it foamy even after I specifically asked for it not to be that way, the second time filling the cup with ice after I specified light ice.

  Yum! Perfect for a quick get up with their drive-thru and perfect even if I don’t want coffee with my favorite, Hot Apple Cider with extra Carmel.
