Too big of portions of overly greasy and fatty dishes that don’t even taste that good. Not worth they hassle of long wait times. Not impressed.

Great Steak. My friend and I enjoy lunch there almost very Thursday. We both usually get Joes steak, vegetables and a decaf coffee. The reason why we have chosen this restaurant is because the food is pretty damn good and the service is impeccable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a good steak or burger.
I like this place. I also see lot of whiny reviews but a high rating. After reading the reviews they seem petty and like they didn’t ask the staff to fix minor errors. Squeaking wheels if you ask me. Possibly the best pulled pork sandwich in Bakersfield.
Uh, the wings came with only legs and they seemed to be soaked in vinegar. The nachos? Flavorless at best. Disappointed and won’t come back.
Nachos. I find that Tahoe Joe’s has trouble cooking a steak! The steaks are always over-cooked. Even if you ask for a medium-rare filet mignon, it is overdone. I cannot begin to tell you how many steaks my husband sent back before we finally stopped going there. I would go there for their fabulous steak nachos, and their great desserts. Plus, it is one of the few places in town with actual atmosphere.
Food was very good. Service was spotty at best. Would go back, but hope for better service. Didn’t like my app and lunch entre at the same time.
