What a great find. Before an evening at the Rabobank theater we were wanting to find a bite to eat and found a great find the Wall Street Cafe! The food, service and wine were amazing and the atmosphere very cozy yet urban . We recommend this spot to newcomers and locals to visit , revisit and enjoy .
Just another Bakersfield restaurant trying to be something they’re not.. Simple terrible service from pretentious servers. It took at least 10 minutes before anyone even came to see us at our table. The dining room was not even close to being busy, so it shouldn’t have been that difficult to keep up on the tables. From there, service just became more sparse. When there was someone there, they were pretentious, unhelpful, and had NO knowledge of the menu. Our server even decide to argue with me about what I wanted to order. The food is over priced, I imagine in the hopes that it will distract you from the fact that it is simple cafe food and not as fancy as they want to portray it in their menu. Who knows, this could be growing pains of what may end up being a great little gastropub. My bet? This will be another lackluster attempt to open a modern, catchy, semi-upscale restaurant in Bakersfield that will eventually fall by the wayside when the hipsters realize that they are truly wasting their time and entitled money. I will not be soon returning.
GREAT lunch !!. Went for lunch for the first time today with a friend and we were both VERY impressed! I’m quite the picky person about my food and was thrilled with what I had! We tried the appetizer lobster fritters (YUMMY!!), I had the steak sandwich (YUMMY!) and my friend had the steak wrap (per her, YUMMY, but spicy!). I almost docked them a star for service – I mean, it is a bit presumptuous to keep the coin change when returning change on the bill, and it would’ve been nice if we’d been asked while eating if we needed anything else – but it wasn’t bad enough to care, given the YUMMY food!
