Patio Dining for 2. My Boyfriend and I wanted to have a date night before the crazy of the Halloween weekend was to occur. We decided on seafood and wanted to be by the water. Billy’s at the Beach was the place. We were already in the area and it worked out remarkably. Possibly one of my favorite seafood in Orange County that I have had so far. (I don’t eat seafood much. My boyfriend does.) My boyfriend is always trying to get me to eat new foods and he found a place I could revisit again and again. The drinks were potent yet tasty, the food was delicious and the ambiance was very fun! There was also a guitar player entertaining us with some familiar tunes. Great night!
Swing and a Miss. Well we have been taking my wife to Roys for 20 years and last year we had a really bad experience so we figured we would try Billys. We had been here years ago and had a good experience. This time, not so much. Order items were forgotten, calamari was rubbery and the sauce on the overcooked opakapaka was watery. The stir fried veggies were mushy and my son called them the leftover cuttings. Our teenage eating machine would not finish his fish and chips.Time for dessert and ran out of baileys ice cream pie which was pitched by the server as being the best item to order. I get that not every item will always be available but then don’t push it.I guess we are still in search of a great fish restaurant that can actually deliver a good meal for the price charged, consistently.

Fabulous Dinner at Billy’s. My wife and I joined my sister and her husband for dinner at Billy’s for the annual Christmas Boat Parade. The food was out of this world! My wife had the filet mignon steak, my brother in law and I had the Mahi Mahi, and my sister had the chicken. All of the dinners were absolutely delicious! The service was super! Our waiter was attentive and came with a great sense of humor! I am delighted to give Billy’s at the Beach a 5 star rating!
Great Food. This place has amazing food, good atmosphere, and good drinks. The prices are a little high but well worth it for the food and entertainment you get. They had a small band playing great surf music and the Mahi was to die for. I will be back there again very soon.
If you’re a racist and love to use the n-word in public you’ll love Billy’s At The Beach. I had to go to a wedding today in Newport Beach with my wife and some friends from her work. There was a 2 and 1/2 hour gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception so we decided to stop at Billy’s for lunch.We ate inside the restaurant and then afterward we went outside to the patio bar to order a drink. There were six of us. Four of us were white, two of us were black.We were not on the patio for more than two minutes before a red-faced, 50-year-old, buff-yet-also-fat dude in a red Affliction t-shirt called one of our black friends a ni**er.He did it right in front of and within earshot of the two bartenders behind the bar. Neither of them said anything. And they actually seemed to become annoyed with the fact that we had two black people in our party more than the fact that one of their patrons had just said something that should have had them removed from the property.We paid for the drinks that we had ordered without touching them and left. The bartender was rude to us as we did so.This place is terrible if you do not enjoy having your friends called disgusting racial slurs with the tacit consent of the bar staff.However, it’s great if you are a complete douchebag and enjoy hanging out at places filled with racist tools hopped up on cocaine and viagra, liver-spotted cougars with ripped arms and medium-sized fake breasts that are 17 inches apart, and skanky waitresses with huge fake boobs crammed into tiny t-shirts with ugly faces, thin legs and beer guts.This place is Loserville and I hope that it burns to the ground sometime in my lifetime so I can stop by and take a photo of myself taking a sh*t on its ashes.
The Mai Tai kicked my ass. Go for these. The food was way over priced.
