$4 each for a small burger with great fries and cole slaw, a bowl of chowder and a salad – all delicious.
Very good sea food, but easily $$$ in terms of expense.
2 words – Happy Hour!. I have always loved Farborside which some people don’t know is the big Balboa Pavillion on the other side of the ferry from Balboa Island. We do an annual Christmas party here every year and the food and service are excellent! What I didn’t know until two months ago is that they have an AMAZING happy hour in the bar. Not sure the hours -may have to call- but I know if goes to at least 6:30 and they have it on the weekends too. $4 apps, drinks, you name it! Trying to save money right now is super easy here. Two of us spent $40 including tip and had a couple cocktails each and a full meal made of appetizers. The dining room is great too. Can’t go wrong really. We have been back a few times.
