  5 STAR EXPERIENCE. The Village Inn is by far the best food on Balboa Island! My girlfriend lives on Balboa Island so I have drove past it more times than I can count but have never actually tried it until a few days ago! I AM SO HAPPY I DID … I had the pulled pork sandwich and my girlfriend got the clam chowder soup bowl, both were OUTSTANDING! Also the vibe of the restraint is fabulous, the servers go above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as possible! At one point in our meal even the owner came to our table to ask how our meal was (something I would only expect at somewhere like Mastros or a high end steak house) … Overall my girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend The Village Inn to anyone passing through Newport Beach!!

  Great place to watch a game. Had breakfast here this weekend and caught some Sunday morning football and had a great time. The breakfast was very good, definitely lots to chose from. Couldn’t turn down the bottomless mimosas, I guess they are served until around 3. After that beers are only $3 during the games. Not sure how we didn’t know about this place sooner but it’s easily one of the better places on the island, will be back for more.

  Fun Place. Great Food. Very cool local restaurant on Balboa Island. Friendly atmosphere, really good food and live music every night of the week! Try the flank steak salad or the Ahi Poke!

  Really tasty food!. Just moved to Costa Mesa and stumbled on this place while I was shopping on Balboa Island with one of my girlfriends. We stopped in for lunch and were sure happy we did. We shared an appetizer and both ordered a salad. The food was excellent, I have to say the portions here are pretty big and we weren’t able to finish everything but still no complaints about the food. Overall we had a great time and imagine we’ll stop in again sooner or later

  Good food and great service. Been back here a couple times since going for my first time. The bar in here is huge and they have a lot of different drinks to chose from. Bartenders here are very friendly make great drinks!

  Awesome Local Joint. The food here is some of the best you will find on the island, my favorite part about this place is the live music, which I believe they have amost every night of the week. After living in the area for a while, the food selection on Balboa Island has never been anything special, I don’t know if this place got new owners or a new Chef or just changed their menu but the food quality has definitely been elevated.. There are a couple new items on the menu I don’t recognize and they also have a bar menu now which is kinda cool. The food here is considerably better than what they used to offer, this place feels more like a restaurant now as opposed to feeling kinda of like the local bar.I used to stop in here every now and then after work for a drink, I would avoid the food because it always seemed pretty average and a little greasy to me, but now I can’t get enough of it. The steak salad is honestly one of the best salads I have ever had and something I would definitely recommend. If you find yourself on Balboa Island or the peninsula, this is surely one of the better dining options you will find, great for small and large groups and definitely a place with quality food and a fun atmosphere.
