Nice beach spot. Fun decor. Food was quite good and service was quick. Had the Huevos Rancheros – really good. Others had the Omelettes and Belgian waffles – good. Try the cornbread and honey.
Wilma’s is an institution on the island. When you want down home diner food, this is the place. Our party of 4 enjoyed our breakfast/early lunch excursion. Food is well prepared but not all is made in house ( I always ask about the corned beef hash). Expect a wait during the busy times.
If you’re ever in the area of Newport Beach, make sure to stop by Balboa island. Balboa Island sits on a body of water loaded with specialty shops, beautiful views and of course restaurants. I chose Wilma’s Patio restaurant because of it’s history and delicious food. I was greeted with the utmost respect by the hostess and owner ( beautiful people) . The hostess suggest their best seller which was the Sourdough Burger and Cottage Fries, and that’s what I ordered. My dish was delivered in a timely manner and was very delicious. You can taste the freshness in every bite from beginning to end. Prices are reasonable ranging from $11-30 and is open daily. This place come highly recommended and I can see why.
