STAY AWAY!. I have not eaten at a Pioneer chicken since I was a kid…and now that I have relived the memory, I wish I had kept the childhood memory where it was.I think Pioneer is 100% known for its crust. It is the main reason the place stays in business. The crust was somewhat like I remember it, but not quite. It took 15 minutes to get my food. I purchased a combo meal for $8.18, which gave me 1 leg, 1 thigh, 1 small drink, 1 small side, and one tiny Hawaiian roll. The chicken tasted under-cooked and it was dripping oil…disgusting! The side I got (coleslaw) was good and it is hard to mess up on a Hawaiian roll. The Dr. Pepper literally tasted like a cross between Coke and Dr. Pepper. There are NO restrooms in the entire store and they have wipes to wash your hands on (which I hate using).Lastly, about 30 minutes after eating here, I had to take a crap like none other and I was in a place without a bathroom. I’m telling you, there is something very wrong about what this Pioneer Chicken places serves you, because that food did not agree with my intestines.I was very very very disappointed in my visit here. I will not be back!
