  Amazing food! Even in Berkeley, where there are so many great restaurants serving fantastic food, this place gets my highest marks. We have eaten in and ordered through Cavier and both experiences were very satisfying. We have tried the Chicken Paillard, hamburger, pasta, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato tots and burbon peacan pie. If you like Mac and Cheese this place beats Homeroom and Rick and Ann’s hands down! No place has a better burger. It is a great bar – good space, great music, nice feel, but if bars are a bit noisy for you have it delivered! Delivery quality is every bit as good as dining in. Everything arrived hot and was just as good as eating at the restaurant (even the burger!).

  Visiting from Texas my boyfriend is from Oakland and we came here to see his friends. One of his friends suggested this place and it was great for the ambiance and atmosphere. However, the food was somewhat lacking. The waitress recommended an entree that I believe was the chicken paillard. She said it was juicy with a great sauce and that no one was ever dissatisfied with it. Sounded like a winner to me. It was my first time meeting my bf friends so I decided to go for that rather than the messy lemon pepper wings that the reviews had said were good. I certainly didn’t want lemon pepper in my teeth besides the difficult task of eating wings while holding my plate and sitting on a couch. But for taste options I think the wings are the choice here. My bf got the catfish sliders the reviews suggested and they tasted ok but they were really really tiny. My meal was not cheap and it was absolutely not something I would recommend. It was not juicy. There was no sauce on it. It was a chicken breast coated in something that resembled shake n bake on top of a salad of baby spinach. The salad had a small amount of dressing on it and I know this only because it was wet but not because it had any flavor. It wasn’t bad. It had absolutely zero taste. Not an oil or vinegar. Nothing. The chicken breaking had very little flavor and was overlooked. The breast itself wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t dry to be fair. But I wouldn’t call it juicy. The side of mac n cheese was pretty tasty. A gourmet take on the traditional without going too far. Maybe if the breading on the chicken hadn’t been over cooked it would have been much better. Someone else in the group ordered the lemon pepper wings and a couple people tried them and all agreed they were really good and by far the best item. I wasn’t able to have a cocktail but those who did seemed to really enjoy everything they ordered. So stick to the cocktails and lemon pepper wings oh and Mac n cheese is good. And enjoy the locale
