There is a small sign with hours outside the door. I followed 3 people into the restaurant at 2:56 on Sunday afternoon. They were seated. I was asked to leave. I hope that it had nothing to do with the fact that they were middle-aged healthy and white and the I am middle-aged black and handicapped. If the sign was clearer I wouldn’t have gone in anyway…but the fact that I was not allowed to be seated and others were and we were all inside before 3, suggests a serious problem
Had breakfast this morning. 2nd place in Berkley while on vacation. It was great. I had the Avacodo omelette with the Habanero sauce and my wife had the BLT. They were both excellent. The breakfast was more gourmet than classic and tasted great. We were both pleased. The coffee was really good as well. The toasts they offers were different types of sourdough. It was good although my wife’s was a little on the too toasty side. I would definitely recommend it. Service was excellent. Cost was about $30 for the both of us with tip. The cost was reasonable and the portions were large.
