  This is a great place to go to brunch on the weekends. It gets pretty crowded on though, so it’s best to get there before 10 or 11. If it’s after that, then be prepared to wait. But it will definitely be worth it! The food is amazing, and the coffee is really good too! I definitely recommend the Berkeley Hills Scramble or the Eggs Benedict (original or with crab cakes).

  M IS NOW THE BEST LETTER IN THE ALPHABET. Breakfast all day and the most reasonable prices to dine out on 4th street in berkeley?YES PLEASE!i spent a day walking around taking in the sites and i stumbled on this great place right off the beaten path. it was after 1pm and still packed with people lucking to get in on the wait. there were open tables out front so i had to jump on that quick. a party of 8 women moved tables together to accommodate themselves and almost took every last table. luckily they saved me one. i asked the waitress if it was ok because i didn’t want to slam her with her large party but she took care of me first and made them wait. i asked for water and told her i would be ready when she came back. they have so many really good looking things on their menu but i jumped on the crab melt. i had a choice of salad, fries or crab bisque so i went with the fries. i wanted to go lite so i got the fries! lolwithin no time i had my crab melt and this was the best crab melt i have ever had without a doubt. i just couldn’t believe how fresh the crab tasted and seemed to just melt in my mouth. the fresh toasted sourdough and spicy aoli sauce topped this baby off in a great way. i really wanted the crab bisque but i must say those fries were dangerously good. i’m so glad i found this place and i want to come back for more on the menu but i need to get that crab melt again. with lunch at $15 this really meets my budget but i would pay alot more for that lunch again.

  You’ll want to try Cafe M on 4th Street in Berkeley. Caf Ma great new place for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Berkeleys Ocean View neighborhood just off Fourth Street. We had a fabulous dinner there last night, and lunch is equally good. The fresh Hawaiian Walu was amazinga thick piece of moist and flavorful fish. Our dinner companion claimed the filet mignon was the best hes ever had. Portions were generous and prices very reasonable. We appreciated the varied menu selection and wine list, airy and casual ambience, and personal service. Simon was an attentive, knowledgeable and personable waiter, and the pastry chef stopped by to talk with us. Caf M is just getting started and we should all want to see this fine neighborhood restaurant thrive. A block off Fourth Street at Fifth and Delaware.
