Tucked away on a side street of Shattuck! Eureka is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Berkeley. It is always busy and the ambiance is amazing. If you don’t have a reservation you might have to wait for about 45 min so I suggest making a reservation. The seating by the booths is great! but you can always get a drink at the bar first. Their drinks are well made and the bartenders are sweet. I usually get one of the burgers and ask for it to be extra spicy! Their Bruschetta is great as well.Definitely, recommend this place to get a drink with friends or date night.
Eureka is quite busy, hip and modern. They gave us a booth at the back by the bar which was awesome. I ordered the Cowboy Burger with deep fried mac and cheese balls. The balls were awesome but my burger, because I wanted it well, was way over-done. I did not want pink inside but I also did not want a totally dried out burger. The same thing happened with my brother-in-law’s Bison Burger.My sister ordered tacos and she they were OK but woah, spicy! And for her to say something is spicy It would have killed me. She LOVES heat in her food. My other sister ordered the Fried Chicken Sliders but got fries instead of mashed potatoes. My sister enjoyed the sliders but found they were a little dry and needed more sauce.Eureka in Berkeley has pretty good food for slightly higher prices than I was expecting. We all thought the service was good but the food was just OK. We had a nice night out but would not go back. suziethefoodie.com

I have found it?. It’s OK. they have lots of good beer on tap and a reasonable happy hour. the nachos were microwaved and there was a nasty BBQ sauce on them. good beer, bad food as far as I can tell from my first visit.
