Very old fashioned place, 70s decor and tired vibe, with amazing views of the city, bay and bridges. Not for foodies I ordered the shrimp cocktail to match the vibe of the restaurant and because the house made cocktail sauce tempted me, sadly it turned out to be a simple salsa. Im rather tired of the sauce obsession here in the USA, akin to the sweet chilli sauce fad in Australia a few years back. The calamaris were fabulous. My fish was fine, but served with mashed potato? Theres that 1979 thing again. The lobster was good and the boys claimed the steaks to be delicious, although corn fed beef… This is a family friendly and probably a nicer place for some. Plenty of free parking too.
Hi,I visited Hs Lordship along with my husband and friends during our latest trip to SF. It was a delight to have our dinner in the restaurant. We ordered baked potato and fish of the day and both dishes were excellent. We all enjoyed the view, food and warm hospitality of the staff. Our server was also very attentive and he adjusted all of our needs in best possible ways.It is sure that we will be visiting the restaurant again.Shikha Gautam.
Myself and my wife visited Hs Lordshipsin Berkeley as part of our SF holiday. we both loved the location views and the warm hospitality. The restaurant is huge and commands beautiful views overlooking SF and Golden Gate (which is a great plus for vacationers). The Artichoke dip we shared was really nice and the fish of the day was best we have had in a long time. The service was warm and attentive and our server did a great job in not rushing us. Overall we had a great evening and hope to return soon.Nitesh
Nice water views. Was there for a private banquet event. Good food and prompt service.couple of us decided to go down to the bar and have a few shots. They have a fantastic location by the water .The prime rib was very nicely finished and a generous size. Was not too impressed with the cement flooring .,i know its a trend these days but does not do justice to the overall feel of the place. Planning on bringing my family here for the holidays.
Lovely location and best views!. Lovely restaurant by the bay. Old world charm and best views ever! Try the sunset menu which is a three course menu for $19.95. Great value. Friendly staff and efficient service. Will be back again for Mothers day brunch
Would definitely recommend. My family and I went there last week for my Mother’s 80th birthday and my wife’s 50th. The staff was very courteous. When we requested a window seat, they were more than willing to accommodate. The owner/manager was professional and kind. I would recommend this place over Skates (just down the road). Skates has become more of a upper class atmosphere that does not cater to people that have children. The menu at HS Lordship has a menu for everyone and the food in my opinion tastes better than Skates. Also when you leave Skates you still feel hungry. At HS Lordship, we were all full. We now have a place to go to for all events. I highly recommend this placeDean YoungFuture Returning Customer
CEO. We hosted a surprise 80th birthday party of forty guests for brunch. The manager was very accomodating. During the planning he walked me through the dining area and offered several bay views. Where we were seated everyone had a window view of San Francisco. An added kicker is that he allowed us to decorate the tables. The food selection was excellent for the tastes of the broad age range. A bit pricey but all had a grand time. Ample close parking was also a big plus.
