I B’s Hoagies (Cheesesteaks/American). I B’s is the best cheesesteak in Berkeley, and that’s sad. Their meats are poorly butchered, chewy, and bland The bread is tough and somewhat stale. Piles of vegetables come on each sandwich; lettuce has no place on a cheesesteak. I B’s cheese is simply warmed, not melted, and mushrooms come on top instead of mixed in to the meat. All these things on their own are minor, but together make for an unappealing mess. Adding to it all, the shop is pretty messy and seating is extremely limited. Service puts the cherry on top, with their tendency to argue with customers who bring up issues or make suggestions. At least the steak isn’t greasy, a major negative at other hoagie joints. I B’s prices are very low, too, with a medium nine inch sandwich costing an affordable $7. A couple positives don’t make up for the errors, but the hoagie pickings in the area are slim. As much as I dislike the place, nowhere else is capable satisfying my cheesesteak cravings, so I guess I’ll have to suck it up and order two, please.Rating: 4.1/10 tasteperiod.blogspot.com

It’s really the only option off telegraph to fill the stomach on a long night of drinking, or for stopping by before a long road trip, one full size cheesesteak can feed 5 small people.
Very good Phillie Cheesesteak. The only thing to do for this spot is to call and order ahead, since the places is jammed during the lunch hour. The Italian combo sandwich, or better yet, the cheesesteak sandwich. Not the healthiest, though….
