  Ici has some really tasty ice creams, really rich & creamy. They also have some really interesting flavors and combinations that I’ve not seen anywhere else in the cities I’ve lived in. I think it’s definitely a great place to try out some great icecream & you can hardly go wrong on the flavor.However the thing that’s off putting is the queues & how tiny the shop is. I understand the need to maintain quality, but I doubt it would hurt to increase the number of counters rather than have people queue up on the street outside. Or it could just be great marketing, having crowds line up outside to give the impression that’s it’s oversubscribed.I’d love it if it was easier to get the ice creams & if they could open up branches elsewhere, especially closer to South Bay or the city.

  It is on the pricier side for ice cream but the flavors are to die for. Homemade and so unique–it’s got a hint of Berkeley’s personality. My personal favorite is earl grey tea flavored ice cream, but since the flavors change everyday, this isn’t always available. Nonetheless, there is always a flavor that will satisfy your sweet tooth. There are sorbets as well as sherbets. And you’re allowed to taste test several flavors prior to choosing the one you’d like. Ici prides its employees’ ability to memorize dozens of requested flavor test at once. You have the option to request for half-and-half flavors in one scoop cups too (at the price of one for those diet-conscious individuals who still want variety in flavors)

  Ici is super famous and a must-go place if you’re in Berkeley, Oakland or surrounds. Their ice cream flavor me change everyday, but it’s their waffle cones which have me hooked! They’re chocolate-tipped! No more ice cream dripping out the end and, oh man, that chocolate is goooood!
