Sadly I didn’t care for the food hear my lentil soup was bland and my chicken pomegranate was ok . Sadly they put the chicken on my rice and covered it in a greasy chicken dripping that ran into the rest of my food making it greasy and soggy. My husband said his Mediterranean plate was descent. Overall it was food to eat at 9:45 at night …. I’m sure this was the last time I will be hear 🙁

Berkeley at its best. The atmosphere is unbeatable. The service is excellent. The portions are large. The pomegranate chicken had plenty of flavor without too much oil or anything unhealthy.
Location. The food looked tasty, though all I can recommend is the Turkish Coffee and a seat at the tables outside for some excellent people watching on College Ave.
Disgusting food. I am not sure what was worse, the nauseating smell or the tast of the food. Beware, unless you are use to overwhelming aromas. But on the other hand, the staff was nice and it had decent service.
Great food, but…. I love their middle eastern platter – little tastes of several different items like the spinach feta roll, the cinnamon-y chicken roll with the chickpeas and raisins (I think), hummus and pita…. And the lemon chicken soup is awesome. But every time I’ve gone there (4 times now, I think), the service has had me doubting whether or not I’d go back. Call me crazy, but I like to be greeted by my server within 20 minutes of having sat down… And then my order taken soon after. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve either gotten the wrong soup or salad that I didn’t order instead of the soup I did order, etc… And getting a refill on my drink? Out of the question. I’m also not a super picky person and will deal with getting the wrong items most of the time and will be generally pretty patient with slow service. And I know I would make a TERRIBLE waitress, and that it IS a challenging job, which is why I am not one. That said, I do keep going back because the food is so tasty.
This is probably my favorite restaurant ever. I love the veggie kabobs and the sampler dinner. Cute atmosphere. Outside seating faces onto college ave and has industrial overhead coil heaters. The dinners have a great variation of sides. The veggie kabobs come with pita, hummus, salad, and pilaf. So excellent.
