It was raining the other day, and we were damn hungry so ended up landing to this Mexican place. The pork softshell tacos and tamrind soda was just too epic to not have out there. The food was yum and I’m sure they are good cause the moment we stepped in and got ourselves a seat the place was packed. The experience is good and I’d recommend to go try the tacos out. Cheers!
When I moved to the Bay Area 27 years ago, getting a burrito was a religious experience. As the years passed, typical burro tastiness gradually disappeared. The burritto I had last night was a religious experience. Best carnitas I have ever had. The meat was crispy. It tasted like somebody took the worlds best pulled pork and gave it a quick fry. My next mission is to find out whether the best carnitas I have ever had was just an accident. My mouth is watering as I write this. They also have parking.
I had a pretty authentic, pretty good carnitas burrito. Could there have been more meat in it? Yes, but it was pretty good. Their iced tea was wayyy over-brewed, but what are you gonna do? I liked the atmosphere and it was just what I needed.
I have been here a couple of times. I enjoy the fish burrito or tacos and the veggie burrito is very good. Their nachos I love and my dad never waivers from his lamb burrito that he says is delicious (I only eat fish). I went for breakfast and I was not impressed. The breakfast burrito was average. Their horchata though is some of the best I’ve ever tasted! One negative for me is that their prices have gone up recently and certain menu items are a little pricey for the quality. Overall a pretty good place.
I got the grilled fish taco and it was super fresh and light. As good as my taco was, my boyfriend’s chimichanga was the big time winner. Filled with tender pork and topped with fresh pico and tons of cotija — so dang good! The ceviche was on point too. Everything was so fresh and perfectly spicy.
Cheap good food!. Cheap good food with friendly service!! Every time I passed this place it was busy, it seems like it is a favorite spot for locals who live in the area. I had the mole burrito and it was quite good.
Good food and service- seems clean and fresh- Carnitas was tasty. Will be sampling more on the menu soon
