Gustatory. Party of eight for coffee and baked goods turned into a light lunch. Cafe Trieste was closed on Monday,Presidents Day, to have its much worn floor sanded and refurbished. Turns out Paisan was a great and far roomier alternative. Fried olives as an appetiser, very piquant. Will try to make them at home in Omaha. Mixed green salad and meatball sandwich, shared with a friend, hit the spot. A quiche and the three remaining sweet rolls and muffins rounded out the meal accompanied by Blue Bottle individually brewed rich cups.

Great, as always!. Paisan is normally our favorite pizza place. We love their flavorful thin crust pizzas. Today we felt like trying something else: the fettucini special and wild mushroom risotto. Equally great! Paired with great appetizers (the beet and brussels sprouts salads), good wine and an abbey quality beer it turns out you can’t go wrong! Wow!!
