I can’t give this place a rating of 5 yet, because I have not tried the food. However, they make some of the best cocktails in the area. The bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable and are happy to whip up something for you if you’re unsure of what to order. A huge plus for me is that the Shattuck BART station is right outside and makes it easy for me to enjoy my drinks and get home safely.
This is one of the most eclectic and interesting menus I’ve experienced in a while. The combinations of various ingredients was skillful and unusual – but delightful at every turn. We ordered many small plates and each one was a delicious surprise! Rhubarb upside down cake with carrot ice cream was incredible!
Gustatory. Prompt seating, Appetisers, cocktails, wines, main course, presentation, taste, price and service blend into a lovely experience. I would go again.
I love any restaurant that has a specialty cocktail menu. Creative starters and very tender pork. It’s also clever to have a secondary ‘bar’ that is stool seating and perfect for spending time chatting with friends ( and enjoying libations ).
