  My wife and I eat here on our wedding anniversary every year. Food and service are excellent. View of the garden is a showstopper.

  Great Back Garden, Good Food. Rivoli is in the middle of the Solano Ave. restaurant ghetto and is a worthy addition. We ate later on a Saturday evening and the dining room, which is quite small, was still packed. We were sat on time though I felt the service, while very friendly, was a bit on the slow side. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry so that didn’t ruin our meal.The Chopped Salad was very fresh and tasty. Nothing innovative with its mix of butter lettuce, walnuts, bleu cheese, etc but done nicely. A great dish was the portobello mushroom appetizer, a definite must-try. I had the Mahi Mahi which was served with shaved carrots and mashed potatoes. The fish was good but the potatoes were a little runny for my taste. They have a nice little mixed cookie dessert which was the perfect size to share for 4. I would certainly recommend Rivoli as a nice late-night dining experience.

  I love Rivoli. The only restaurant in my experience to rival Chez Panisse. Beautiful garden view creates a really sublime experience.
