Refreshing!. Had an order of the Veggie Sandwich (~$4): tofu, yam, & jicama on a toasted french roll. Food was delicious, staff was polite, and the ambiance was reserved.
I don’t necessarily know Pho, but I know what I like. This was good-tasting noodle soup that was served fast. The place was very clean and quiet. Other patrons included a couple of Berkeley college kids obviously on their first date. She is probably thinking that he is wise and frugal with his money, considerate of her as he was able to hear everything she said (she talked alot), and of refined taste by college-student standards. I think things will go well for him tonight. The shrimp rolls were beatifully presented and my son, a soon-to-be college freshman himself (he just got into Claremont McKenna -such a smart boy!), seemed to enjoy them because they were gone in no time leaving none for the rest of us. My daughter enjoyed her Pho but was completely annoyed at her father who spent the entire meal writing a review as if Ge were a food critic. Hope this review helps.
