Fried mac n’ cheese balls. NACHOS with chili. Chili cheese fries. Wings. Get those things, and maybe the largest Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever seen (and I used to live in Philadelphia – I’ve seen a lot of cheesesteaks)!Onto the beers – great craft selection! That’s why you’re here, right? The upstairs patio is great, with heaters and everything. There’s also a good amount of space downstairs. To top it all off, staff is super friendly, sassy-funny, and attentive.
Good beer and cider, good service, and an awesome upstairs terrace for groups. The food was standard bar food–nachos, sandwiches, burgers, fries, the works. Get the chili on the fries! And the mac n’ cheese balls are a must. athingforwords.com
One of my places to get out of dodge and have lunch. Has good food for carnivores thru vegans (this is after all Berkeley ). No matter what I order I have to start with cup of the chili..with meat & the works. It’s all made even better with their craft beer.
Quality Food & Brew. Stop by Triple Rock Brewery on my way from SFO to Benicia. Let’s start with the food, I had the Blue Rock Burger. Smoked bacon, red onion and there own blue cheese sauce. The burger was cooked perfectly and was excellent, above your normal pub burger. Now for the beer, I had their IPAX (west coast IPA) and Titanium Pale Ale (strong American Ale). Beers were as perfectly described and top tier. The bartender (sat at the bar), service and ambiance created a great experience for me. I give it a big thumbs up and hope to visit again.
Try to get a table upstairs. We ate at Triple Rock in mid-August. I got a good hamburger and two of their house IPAs. The service was good. The menu is good solid pub food. They have a very good selection of beers. Our hosts said that the upstairs patio is the best place to get a table but all the tables were taken when we were there.
Decent food, very noisy. Triple Rock is a great brew house. The food is delicious american pub fare, moderately priced, and in large portions. Even though the pub was crowded, the server and food came quickly. The service was very good. The one draw back is how noisy this place is, if conversation is something you would like to have then you need to raise your voice to be heard by others at your table.
Ate here with a band who had been on the road for a while, so had seen plenty of restaurant food. That said, each one of us was very happy with their meal. The service also could not have been better. Will definitely go back when the opportunity arises.
